The Clicks Moms and Babies Trust will offer free clinic services
every Thursday afternoon at selected clinics*, for mothers whose
babies are born in state hospitals without medical aid.
Extending a Helping Hand...
for the Love of It
In February 2011 Clicks the launched the Clicks Helping Hand Trust.
Since the mid 1990's, life expectancy in South Africa has reduced by almost 20 years. In addition, we are one of only 12 countries in the world where infant mortality is increasing.
Through our national footprint of over 280 pharmacies and 100 Clinics across South Africa , Clicks can help to lessen the burden on state facilities by offering a 'helping hand' for mothers and babies from disadvantaged communities.

Across 41 stores in all 9 provinces, our Moms and Babies Project offers free clinic services every Thursday afternoon, for mothers whose babies are born in state hospitals without medical aid.
To help fund this initiative, Clicks launched a nationwide appeal to our customers. Five percent of the proceeds of every Clicks Branded Baby product marked with the Helping Hand logo will go to the Moms and Babies trust. We are also appealing to our suppliers and staff to join us in supporting this worthy cause.
Clicks donates professional nurse time, managerial experience and clinical space towards this project.
Ultimately, the more funds and support we raise, the more free services we can provide. We aim to roll this project out nationally, with the long term goal of providing mobile mother and children clinics in areas with limited access to Clicks or primary care facilities.

"We are determined to do what we can to help those mothers who are living in less than ideal circumstances, and who don’t have easy access to health services and basic education."

- Growth measurement
- Feeding and nutritional advice
- Baby Weighing
- Family Planning Advice

Did You Know?
Every child has a right to a vaccination and every mother should have access to advice and help on how to care for their child.
It can cost over R3, 500 to vaccinate one baby for the first 18 months of his/her life after it leaves the hospital.
Healthy eating habits prevent childhood illness and contribute to a child’s overall wellbeing enabling them to grow to their full potential.
Baby growth monitoring and weighing enables early diagnosis and treatment of disease or serious health issues, such as malnutrition.
Family planning advice allows women to plan their desired number of births and the spacing and timing of these births.
Immunizations which prevent the spread of disease, offer effective protection against serious diseases, and save lives.
