Maternity Premium Waiver
The birth of your baby should be a joyous occasion, free from stress over
your finances and insurance. Everybody understands though, that you will incur
additional expenses and may not receive a full salary while on maternity
leave. It is important that you celebrate during this period and therefore
your insurance premiums will be taken care of while you take care of your
precious new arrival. Your short-term insurance premiums will be paid
on your behalf for a period of four months.
The only terms and conditions that apply to this benefit are that:
- a certified birth certificate is sent through when your baby is born.
To ensure that you receive the full four-month benefit,
it is imperative that this certificate is received within one month of
the birth date. Payment on your behalf will then
commence in the month following receipt on our side.
- cover is subject to a nine-month waiting period, i.e. you may only
claim once nine months have passed from the time
that this benefit was granted.
