100ml.
Composition:
Each 5 ml suspension contains:
Magnesium carbonate light - 0.160g.
Sodium bicarbonate - 0.080g.
Ethyl alcohol (100 %) - 8.24% v/v.
Preserved with:
Chloroform - 0.5% v/v.
Indication:
When the use of an antacid is indicated.

Pharmacological classification:
A 11.4.1 antacids - acid neutralisers.
Pharmacological action:
GR babies stomach mixture has acid neutralising properties by diminishing the activity of pepsin in gastric secretion.
Contra-indications:
Sodium bicarbonate should be administered with caution to patients with congestive heart failure, renal impairment, cirrhosis of the liver or hypertenison, and to patients receiving corticosteroids. Sodium bicarbonate should not be administered to patients with metabolic or respiratory alkalosis, hypocalcaemia or hypochlorhydria.
Known symptoms of overdosage and particulars of its treatment:
Treatment of metabolic alkalosis and hypernatraemia associated with sodium bicarbonate overdosage consists mainly of appropriate correction of fluid and electrolyte balance. Replacement of calcium, chloride and potassium ions may be of particular importance.

Do not give this medicine to babies with a body mass less than 2.5 kg.
Shake the bottle before use.
Dosage and directions for use:
Give three to four times a day.
Children:
Under 1 month: 2.5 ml (1/2 a medicine measure).
1 - 6 months: 2.5 - 5 ml (1/2-1 medicine measure).
6 - 12 months: 5 ml (1 medicine measure).
1 - 2 years: 5 - 7.5 ml (1-1/2 medicine measures).
3 - 5 years: 7.5 - 10 ml (1 1/2-2 medicine measures).
6 - 10 years: 10 - 15 ml (2-3 medicine measures).
Shake the bottle before use. If you miss a dose, skip the missed Dose. Do not take double doses.
Storage instructions:
Store in a well-closed container below 25 degrees C.
Warnings:
Do not use the maximum dosage of this product for more than two weeks except under advice and supervision of a doctor.
Keep out of reach of children.
Side-effects and special precautions:
Diarrhoea, stomach cramps, flatulence and belching may occur. Hypermagnesaemia and metabolic alkalosis may occur, especially in patients with impaired renal function. Symptoms may include shortness of breath, muscle weakness, mental disturbances, convulsions and coma. Magnesium carbonate may interfere with the absorption of other medicines given concomitantly.
Do not keep or use outdated medicines.
