Smart filtering benefits:
The steam-sterilised filter cartridge softens tap water, removes mechanical impurities, heavy metals and chlorine.
Smart filtering prevents bacterial growth in 150L of water for 30 days. Filters must be replaced on a monthly basis to remain effective.
One filter can replace up to 300 standard S00 ml plastic water bottles.

How the filtration system works:
The filtration system consists of activated carbon and the ion exchange resin. Activated carbon stops harmful substances and unpleasant odours. The porous structure of carbon makes it act like a sponge. It absorbs many compounds in water and after contact with activated carbon, will be permanently attached to its surface. The second component involved in the water filtration system is the ion exchange resin, which is responsible for water softening. It acts as a selector by picking up calcium and magnesium salts in water and introduces others. Calcium and magnesium salts in water are the main culprits for causing limescale build up in kettles.

Smart tips:
1. Use filtered water instead of normal tap water for filling kettles to make tea, coffee and preparing food for toddlers.
2. Use filtered water to make delicious soups, gravies, and to boil pasta and vegetables.

How to open and close jug:
Slide the handle of the lid to the side and lift lid. When closing jug, ensure the hooks located near the spout is locked into place before sliding lid into place.
How to manage the manual cartridge exchange indicator:
Before first use and after each change of cartridge filter, manually set the exchange indicator by moving the sliders to the next date of cartridge replacement, which is 30 days ahead.
Care instructions:
Wash jug in warm, soapy water before first use. Dishwasher safe.
