For DRY acne prone skin
Many will think that oily skin textures are the only texture that can suffer from breakouts, but I can contest that. I've always had dry skin and previously suffered from atopic dermatitis (Eczema). I thought that using any acne fighting product out there would solve my issues i.e. Benzac and Benzaderm etc but my skin got so dry that I felt a burning sensation after every wash morning and eve, might I add using this in conjunction with the highly raved about Sorbet cleansing brush. I still somewhat had the breakouts once a month. I knew this wasn't working. I was ready to try something more gentle for dry skin (Given that winter is on its way and my skin could dry up even more) and I didn't care about an active acne ingredient. So I tried this cleansing bar without my face cleansing brush. The first few days of using I noticed the dry patches were clearing up that I didn't need to add my moisturizer (Eucerins Aquaphor - non comedogenic) throughout the day like I used to, and my skin felt smoother. However after using it for a week I started to notice tiny little bumps on my T zone (whiteheads/ clogged pores which I normally get). I see Cetaphil doesn't have a product with Salicylic acid in (which is used to dissolve clogged pores and prevent them) so I'm now looking to find a toner with Salicylic acid in. I want to monitor this over the next week. But for now, all I can say, is that if you want a very gentle product and you have dry skin, try this. I've been using this for just over a week and I love it. I don't think it comes close to the dove cleansing bar like people say.

I am very pleased with the Cetaphil gentle cleansing bar. This product is a livesaver for excema and dry skin. After using this product my daughter's excema cleared. Thank you Cetaphil for a great product!
