Dosage and directions for use:
An effect may only be obtained after 24-48 hours.
A) Constipation:
Dosage may vary widely with the severity of the condition. A relatively large initial dose should be followed by a smaller maintenance dose after the first 3 days of treatment. Only 1 dose daily needs to be taken preferably after breakfast.
Recommended doses are as follows:
Initial dose - maintenance dose:
Adults: 30 ml - 15-30 ml.
Children (6-14 years): 15 ml - 10-15 ml.
Children (1-5 years): 10 ml - 5-10 ml.
Infants - 5 ml - 2.5-5 ml.
B) Portal systemic encephalopathy:
Initial dose of 30 - 50 ml, 3 times per day. Subsequently adjust the dose to produce 2 or 3 stools daily.
Storage instructions:
Store at or below 25 degrees C.
