How it works Vitamin B6 plays an important part in making sure hormones stay balanced. It helps make serotonin, which drops as women age. Fluctuating serotonin levels may be a contributing factor in the mood swings and depression common in menopause and PMS. Calcium supplements have been found to reduce some symptoms of PMS, like bloating and fatigue as well as effective for reducing psychological symptoms, including sadness, mood swings, and anxiety. Magnesium Glycintate deficiency has been found in women with severe PMS symptoms. Some have found it reduces depression, anxiety, insomnia, water retention, and breast tenderness. Gotu Kola has a calming effect to help you deal with daily stresses which tend to ramp up as part of PMS. It also helps improve circulation and reduce swelling and has been used to treat varicose veins.
