Indications: Vitamino syrup is indicated as a dietary supplement for children and adolescents to support increased demand of body for vitamins, minerals and lysine during growth years. Vitamino syrup can also assist to overcome deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and lysine in conditions like loss of appetite, convalescence, restricted diet following illness, infection and surgery. Pharmacological action: Vitamino syrup: Contains B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, B5, B9, B12,and Biotin) which play an important role in converting proteins, fats, and carbohydrates into energy and thus support body's energy needs. Contains vitamins A, C, D3, E and Zinc which support immune function and protects body against effects of physicial stress. Contains vitamins B12, Folic Acid and Iron which support cell metabolism, DNA synthesis and normal haematopoiesis. Contains L-lysine which is an essential amino acid. L-lysine is a necessary building block for all protein in the body. L-lysine plays a major role in the building of muscle protein; recovering from sports injuries and surgery; the production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes; and the absorption of calcium. Usage instructions:
Dosage: Children 1 - 8 years: take 5 ml daily. Children 9 year & above: take 10 ml daily or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Vitamino syrup should be taken before breakfast or lunch. Shake well before use.

Store in a dry and dark place below 30 degrees C.

Drug interactions: Absorption of vitamin A from the gastro-intestinal tract may be reduced by the presence of neomycin, chloestyramine, or liquid paraffin. The effects of vitamin D may be reduced in patients receiving barbiturates or anticonvulsants. Pyridoxine reduces the effects of levodopa, but this does not occur if a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor is also given. The absorption of iron and tetracyclines is diminished when administered concomitantly. Antacids reduce absorption of iron. Pregnancy & lactation: Vitamino syrup is intended for children and adolescents. As a precaution you should abstain from using medicines during pregnancy and lactation or ask your physician, your pharmacist or your druggist for advice. Side effects: The following side effects may be associated with the use of Vitamino syrup and are listed under their corresponding body system organ class: gastrointestinal disorders: Abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea.
