Eno Active Fruit Salt Regular 200 g: A white, free flowing powderthat contains citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate which react in water to produce sodium citrate which has antacid properties. As an antacid ENO relieves heartburn, sour stomach or acid indigestion. It works by neutralising excess stomach acid. As a Urinary Alkaliniser, it renders the urine less acidic. It is fast acting and effective

How to use
Usage instructions:
One 5ml medicine measure or one sachet in a glass of water. Repeat once in two or three hours if necessary. As a urinary alkaliser: Adults: one 5 ml medicine measure or one sachet well diluted with water to be taken after meals morning and evening.
Storage instructions:
Keep in a cool (at or below 25°C), dry place.
Warnings:
Use with care in patients suffering from oedema and renal insufficiency, ENO active fruit salt does not eradicate bacteriuria, although they may temporarily relieve lower urinary tract symptoms. Do not use if suffering from congestive heart failure or hyper tension except under the advice and supervision of a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose as excess or prolonged use may lead to alkalosis. Treatment should be discontinued if there is no improvement in condition. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid use if suffering from hypertension, heart failure or cirrhosis of the liver and in patients with impaired hepatic and renal function. ENO active fruit salt may interact with many medicines, affecting the rate and/or extract of their absorption. Sodium bicarbonate administration leads to alkalinisation of the urine resulting in increased renal clearance of acidic medication, or decreased renal clearance of basic medications which may result in toxicity. Pregnancy and lactation: safety in pregnancy and lactation has not been established. ENO active fruit salt should not be used in children under 12 years
